From exclusive behind-the-scenes access to one of Australia's leading emergency management facilities to drinks and evening events with delegates from across the country, our social program is designed to enhance your conference experience.

Sunday 13 July – Pre-Conference Activities

Pre-Conference Tour: Gold Coast Disaster and Emergency Management Centre

Kickstart your DEMC25 experience with a guided tour of the Gold Coast’s new $24 million Disaster and Emergency Management Centre. This state-of-the-art facility is a hub for real-time crisis response, advanced planning, and technology integration. Gain a rare behind-the-scenes look at how large-scale emergencies are managed in practice.

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM 
Welcome Drinks

Join us for an informal welcome reception. Meet fellow delegates, collect your name badge, and enjoy a drink before the conference officially begins. It’s a great way to break the ice, catch up with colleagues, and settle in for the days ahead.

Monday 14 July – Exhibition Networking Experience

After an inspiring first day of keynotes and presentations, wind down with a drink in the exhibition hall. This dedicated networking session is your chance to connect with exhibitors, explore new tools and technology, and continue conversations in a more relaxed environment. 

Whether you’re building new partnerships or catching up with peers, the Exhibition Networking Experience offers valuable time to engage with the people and products shaping the future of disaster and emergency management.

Monday 14 July – Evening at Topgolf
6:15 PM Departure from RACV Royal Pines

Keep the conversations going with a night of fun, food, and friendly competition at Topgolf. This evening social event includes three hours of game play in reserved bays, a Mexican fiesta buffet dinner, and a two-hour alcoholic beverage package. With return transfers provided and complimentary soft drinks, it’s the perfect way to relax with colleagues and meet new faces in a casual, engaging setting.
