We are pleased and excited to announce that state of the art Emergency Services Integrated Communications (ESIC) vehicle will be attending the 5th Australian and New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference being held at Jupiter’s Gold Coast 30-31 May 2016.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to view and experience the ESIC truck – potentially a world first and see how it can bring technology to the scene of a variety of disaster recovery situations revolutionising the way disasters are managed.
Delegates can get up close and inside the shiny high-tech truck which enables frontline emergency services agencies to see how this fully integrated mobile vehicle can support monitoring and managing incident personnel near to a disaster location.
The ESIC truck is suitable for deployment to support natural disaster emergencies such as fires, floods, cyclones and tsunamis, plus the co-ordination of multiple agencies for emergencies such as terrorism or major event and crowd management.
The vehicle leverages high-capacity broadband data for use on smart phone for emergency services front line and command personnel, providing them with real-time intelligence and allowing access to the right information to assist decision making. It also allows emergency services to provide crucial up-to-date information to communities during emergency situations.
The National Safety Agency’s ESIC vehicle project was initiated as a test bed to accelerate the development and evaluation of incident management tools, determine their functionality and suitability to support emergency services activities and the truck plays an important role in post incident recovery with the ability to provide communications and information technology services to agencies and communities who may be without power and access to web based services due to damage to important infrastructure.
