Arden is an experienced disaster and emergency management professional who has worked across charities, research and the private sector. While at Red Cross Emergency Services, she coordinated several emergency responses and led the logistics and operational management of the COVID-19 emergency food relief program for Victoria. Arden has demonstrated her ability to create innovative programs and strategies to navigate complex disaster responses. She has expertise in community resilience, relief coordination and collaborative approaches to disaster management.

With significant international working and research experience, Arden brings critical a global and cross-cultural perspective. She completed a thesis on the impact of cyclone Odette on resource-reliant livelihoods, including field research with indigenous communities in the Philippines.

Arden is currently leading initiatives for public-private partnerships that enable the purposeful contribution of the private sector in disaster management and resilience planning.
