Australian & New Zealand Search & Rescue Conference (ANZSAR)

The Search & Rescue Conference will be held on Wednesday 23 May 2018. Delegates attending the Disaster & Emergency Management Conference are entitled to discounted registration rates to attend ANZSAR.

Social Events

Tickets to the Welcome Reception and Closing Drinks Function are included in full registrations only. You must RSVP to these events if you would like to attend which can be done on the registration form. Tickets can be purchased from the registration form for day delegates and partners.

Early Bird Registration

A discount is available for registrations received and paid before Monday 9 April 2018. Registrations not paid by that date will be re-invoiced at the standard rate.

Concession Registration

Concession registration is available for full time students and unwaged persons. A discount will be applied to the full standard registration only (not including the presenter and day rate).

Payment Conditions

Once registration is received a confirmation email and tax invoice will be issued. All accounts must be paid in full 30 days from the invoice date or 10 business days before the Conference start date, whichever comes first (unless applying for the early bird rate).

The organisers reserve right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 30 days from date of tax invoice being sent. All registrations received after Friday 4 May 2018 must be paid in full by credit card only.

If payment is not received prior to the Conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card only.

Cancellation and Amendments

The Conference Committee understands that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the event you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge. All cancellation and refund must be received in writing to the Conference Secretariat.

A full refund less a $150 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on or before Monday 9 April 2018. Registration cancellation received between 10 April 2018 and 23 April 2018 will receive a 50% refund on the registration fees. No refunds will be issued after the 24 April 2018. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.

Accommodation

For all accommodation cancellations received 30 – 15 days prior to the arrival date, a charge equal to 1 nights’ accommodation will apply. Any cancellations received 14 days prior to the arrival date, will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Travel Insurance

It is strongly recommended that delegates have travel insurance to cover medical and travel expenses.  The conference does not endorse or have any arrangements with any companies.

The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term “Force Majeure” means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to War, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, Acts or Regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
