Rise in natural disasters but decline in deaths, report finds

Despite a rise in the number of natural disasters over the last four and half decades, there has actually been a decline in the number of fatalities.

That’s one of the findings in a report produced by ESCAP, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
